The new issue of GEO ENeRGY (No. 43), the regular newsletter of the ENeRG, has been published

The first-page article is devoted to the recently launched Horizon Europe Work Programme 2021-2022.

On the second page, one can find an article representing SUCCEED project funded by the ACT programme (Accelerating CCS Technologies). The second article on the second page is introducing a new ENeRG member – CCS Consult from Norway.

The third page is about the new Horizon 2020 project HyStories devoted to Hydrogen Storage in European Subsurface. Nine ENeRG members take part in this project.

The last page includes an article about the International Master Course on CO2 geological Storage organized and funded by Horizon 2020 project ENOS. The second run of this course is also announced in this article and will start in January 2022.

Niels Peter Christensen is a new ENeRG member from CCS Consult (Oslo/CPH) will represent now Norway (CV).

When Niels Peter was working in GEUS, he represented Denmark and he has been an ENeRG president in 2006. At that time he prepared the first pan-European project in CCS (EU FP6 EU GeoCapacity project), where many ENeRG members took part, and he was the first project coordinator.

All the ENeRGs are very glad to see Niels Peter Christensen again in the ENeRG network, as a great expert and one of the fathers of CCS in Europe and in the world.

 

Presentations made at the GHGT-15 on 15-18 March 2021 in Abu Dhabi are published in the form of articles in the Electronic Conference Proceedings (SSRN, Elsevier) and available online. The list of the articles published by the researchers, members of the ENeRG network is available here.

13 researchers from six ENeRG partners from Czech, Estonia, Italy, France, Romania and Scotland took part in the online 15th International Conference on Greenhouse Gas Control Technologies (GHGT-15) on 15-18 March 2021 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ENeRG members made two oral and 12 poster presentations and chaired a session. Overall more than 20 ENeRG researchers from 9 ENeRG member institutions from 8 countries were involved as authors and co-authors in the GHGT-15 presentations and articles submitted to the conference proceedings.

The representative of Slovenia changed

Ada Vengust is a new representative of Geoinženiring (Slovenia) in the ENeRG network. You can read about her education and research interests in her short CV.

On the second page, one can find three articles representing new ENeRG members.

The third page is about natural laboratories for the study of CO2 geological storage in Romania.

The last page includes an article funded by the UK Engineering and Physics Research Council project called HyStorPor (hydrogen storage in porous media).
