The front-page article highlights the 19th CO2GeoNet Open Forum, “Building CCS Collaboration: Let’s Go Further Together!”, held from 18–21 May 2026 on San Servolo Island in Venice, Italy. The event brought together 90 participants from across Europe and beyond, including members of ENeRG, such as OGS, Sapienza University of Rome, and GeoEcoMar.

The second page features an update on the Horizon Europe-funded Eastern Lights project, which aims to pave the way for the first large-scale onshore carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) cluster in Eastern Europe. The project is coordinated by Holcim Bulgaria, with GeoEcoMar, ENeRG’s member organisation from Romania, participating as one of the 19 project partners.

The third page presents the results of the Horizon Europe TANDEM project (Transdisciplinary ANd Deliberative Equity Appraisal of Transition Policies in Energy and Mobility), coordinated by Vrije Universiteit Brussel. The project brought together seven partners from six countries, including the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences (MEERI PAS), an ENeRG member.

The final page announces several upcoming events. The Annual Baltic Carbon Forum 2026 (BCF 2026) will be held on 8–9 October 2026 at the Radisson Collection Hotel in Warsaw, Poland. In addition, a Student Hackathon will take place on 11–12 September 2026 at KTU M-Lab in Kaunas, Lithuania, followed by a Student Workshop on Geo-Energy Topics on 18 September 2026 at the Corner Hotel in Vilnius, Lithuania.
